I called Wizard to do a small job for me, it was just one bedroom 3 x 3.5 metres. I picked Wizard because they were located not far from me and I always try to support local businesses. I was warned by a colleague to stay away from Wizard as she had a run in with them a while back. Regardless I decided to give them a call. I called up and gave them my address and was happy to hear they could do it same day. I asked how much it would be and was quoted $120 cash. I was a bit taken back by the price and paused..
the guy must have sensed I was hesitant and became surly as he said "get someone else" and hung up on me. I called another company and was able to get the job booked for later that afternoon and for $69. I would have been happy enough to give Wizard the job even at $120 as they were able to do it quickly, but I wasn't given the opportunity to accept or reject the quote. The guy just hung up on me..that sort of customer service should not be tolerated. I guess sooner or later this fellows poor customer service will come back to bite.
