Spend Sphere was born in 2020 out of Acquire Insights, a Commercial Advisory firm supporting large scale procurement that has been operating since 2015. Through their work supporting procurement teams across large Australian organisations, founders Simon Thompson and Greer Long saw the need for a better solution to spend analytics. Spend Sphere was developed in direct response to clients desire to have faster, cheaper and more agile alternatives to manual analysis or building of custom data
cubes and analytics inhouse.
Prior to Acquire, Simon and Greer worked in engineering, top tier consulting and Private equity within Australia and around the globe. This experience gives them a unique and broad commercial context to develop products and services that meet the needs of the modern analyst and procurement teams.
