I'm writing here as a designer who unfortunately had the experience of collaboration with Handmade Shop in Canberra.
I had a contract for 3 months with them.
The first one was quite resultative, the second was so so.
On the 3rd month when I poped up in the shop I was looking for my items for about 5 minutes and couldn't find them. Finally I asked a shop assistant where they are and she had shown me one tiny little shelf where the things were.
Then the assistant called for the manager Julie and on my question about this place (before the items was on the other spot) she told me that because I took the items (I did it for 1 day - on previous Sunday when the shop was closed) they had to fill the place with the other goods and had to put my things in that hidden corner.
On my question about the previous place that was ok Julie said that they made me a favour spreading the items all over the shop and that actually this very spot is that I paid for.
We were discussing it for some time and at the end I told that I'm not happy with this service.
Then Julie told that they are not happy with me as with the designer!
It was absolutely rude.
Before I left I measured the space of the shelf where my items were. I paid for 30x30 cm per month and it was 26x19 cm.
Guys, I'm not that bad but I hate when people don't care about their clients!
That is exactly the case.
I wouldn't recommend this place because of the poor service.
