IDM Crop.pty Limited commenced operation in 2001 , under its original name of Payroll Intelligence. The business was built on three specialist areas: payroll outsourcing, payroll recruitment and payroll training. In 2006, a second arm of the business was established, Finance Intelligence, specialising solely in finance recruitment. In 2007 both Payroll Intelligence and Financial Intelligence merged and relaunched under the IDM Crop.pty Limited banner.
