General Post Office, also known as the GPO, is an Australia Post building. Opened on 28 September 1872, the GPO is located between Queen Street and Elizabeth Street, Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. In 1873, the Queensland Museum was housed in the General Post Office building, but moved in 1879 to the William Street building. Directly opposite the GPO building is Post Office Square <br clear=all>
