Animal Pest Management Services is based in Victoria and Western Australia, and provides management of vertebrate pest animals to companies, state government and the general public. As well as eradication by humane euthanasia, Animal Pest Management Services provides animal trapping and relocation services.
Animal Pest Management Services was founded in 1999, and now has offices in Bunbury and Perth, WA and Geelong, Vic. It is now the largest vertebrate pest management company in Australia, and provides specialist services to other states, including Queensland, NSW and the Northern Territory.
Animal Pest Management Services is led by its Managing Director, Mike Butcher, who has over 32 years’ professional experience of managing pests, and had served in a series of government posts before founding the company.
Mike Butcher leads a team of highly experienced pest control operators, each of whom has completed at least 13 Nationally Accredited Units of Competency including the Certificate III in Vertebrate Pest Management. All are members of the Vertebrate Pest Managers Association (WA) Inc.
Species managed by Animal Pest Management Services include rabbits, feral cats and foxes and wild dogs/dingoes. The operational team is trained in the use of a wide variety of poisons, including strychnine, pindone and “1080, and in compliance with all Health and Safety regulations relating to the control of vertebrate pests. As well as eradication of pests, Animal Pest Management Services also provides surveys of native wildlife, reporting on threats from vertebrate pests.
